Solution for Electric Vacuum Pump (EVP)

The brake systems of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles mainly use hydraulic pressure as the transmission medium. Compared with the pneumatic brake system that can provide the power source, it requires a booster system to assist the driver in braking. A vacuum brake booster system is also called a vacuum servo brake system. The servo brake system is based on the hydraulic brake of manpower by adding a set of booster devices that provide braking force from other energy sources so that both manpower and power can be used simultaneously. A braking system in which manpower and engine power are used as braking energy. Under normal circumstances, the Output working pressure is mainly generated by the power servo system, so when the power servo system fails, the hydraulic system can still be driven by human power to produce a certain degree of braking force.

The Role of Automotive Vacuum Pumps, Introduction to Automotive Vacuum Pumps-components

The vacuum pump is mainly composed of the pump body, rotor, blades, intake, and exhaust ports. Take a single-vane vacuum pump as an example. The driving Torque is used to rotate the rotor through the engine camshaft and the vacuum pump connector, thereby driving the plastic single blade along with the vacuum pump capacity. The contour of the cavity is rotated at the eccentric position of the cavity. The upper side of the single blade is divided into two cavities. The left side is the vacuum cavity.

With the rotation of the single blade, the volume of the cavity becomes larger and larger, resulting in At the same time, the vacuum degree increases the vacuum degree of the vacuum booster through the air inlet connected to the vacuum booster and with a one-way valve. The right cavity is the compression cavity. With the rotation of the single blade, the volume of the cavity becomes smaller and smaller. The lubricating oil and the air drawn from the vacuum booster are compressed to the engine. The lubricating oil from the engine enters from the center of the rotor to lubricate the vacuum pump cavity and corresponding parts and acts as a seal between the floating terminal on the single blade and the contour of the cavity.

The Working Principle of Automobile Vacuum Pump

For the vacuum source of the vacuum booster system, the vehicle equipped with a gasoline engine adopts an ignition type, so higher vacuum pressure can be generated in the intake manifold, which can provide enough vacuum source for the vacuum booster brake system. For engine-driven vehicles, because the engine adopts compression ignition CI (Compression Ignition cycle), it cannot provide the same level of vacuum pressure at the intake manifold. Therefore, it is necessary to inStall a vacuum pump that provides a vacuum source. The gasoline direct injection engine GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) designed to meet environmental protection requirements cannot provide the same level of vacuum pressure at the intake manifold to meet the requirements of the vacuum brake booster system. Therefore, a vacuum pump is also required to provide a vacuum source.

How Kinmore Makes Improvement

Inside the vacuum pump, the electric motor operates as a source of power, trapping the air and sweeping it through the pump, creating a partial vacuum behind it. Kinmore provides a reliable and efficient motor that generates enough vacuum for the brake booster to save energy while also improving driving stably.
