About smart electric door lock
The car door has an automatic lock system, also called a smart electric door lock. It allows the driver or front passenger to lock/unlock the door by flipping a switch or pressing a button. These locks are hidden in the car doors. The system has an actuator operated by a battery as a power source and has a small electric motor. Today, almost every modern car has an automatic door lock system. They can now be used to lock and unlock the trunk, front hood, and fuel cap. Equipped with new smart sensors, they can sense the presence of people and unlock cars. And when people start to move the car, the door of the car will be automatically locked. The locking mechanism has an actuator relying on battery power.

In a car equipped with a smart electric door lock, the lock/unlock switch will provide electrical energy to the actuator that unlocks the door. But in a more complex system, there are several ways to lock and unlock. In this case, the body controller will decide when to unlock.
The body controller is the computer in the car. It ensures that if an electric door lock is used for the interior lights in the car, the body controller will monitor all possible sources of “unlock” or “lock” signals. It will monitor the touchpad installed on the door and unlock the door when the correct code is entered. It is responsible for monitoring the radio frequency. When the radio transmitter in the fob receives the right digital code, the car door will be unlocked. Not only that, but it also monitors the switches in the car.
The working principle of intelligent electric car door lock
The door lock is a vital safety part. The door lock is composed of two parts. One part is fixed on the door, and the other is fixed on the body. The door latch prevents the door from opening outwards. The door lock is moved by a simple lever or pressing a button. When they are disengaged, the door lock must work reliably and will not disengage by itself under an impact force.

To unlock the actuator and move the latch, which connects the door handle to the outside of the door. And the opening mechanism is activated. Locking the door handle from the outside is disconnected from the entire mechanism and cannot be opened. Inside the actuator, there is a gear reduction mechanism to reduce the speed and increase the torque. The rack and pinion type spur gear is used to convert the rotary motion of the motor into linear motion, that is, up and down motion. For the locking mechanism, the centrifugal clutch is also installed in the actuator assembly.
Kinmore Motor designs and manufactures various motors for home and commercial use, and our motors provide reduction gear assemblies to improve efficiency and compatibility.
